The Eketahuna Golf Club celebrated its centenial year in 2010. Also known as the Makakahi Course, golf has been played in Eketahuna since 1910. Back then you would not be seen dead on the course without wearing your knicker-bockers or plus fours. Even the ladies had to adhere to a strict dress code.
Today we are a bit more lenient. We take the view that you want to play golf and enjoy your surroundings, not dress up. So come and visit us, you will be glad you did.
Sunday, starting at 12 noon is club day for all Members (visitors welcome) and starting at 10.00am on a Tuesday is Ladies Day. Twilight golf runs through the summer months each Wednesday evening starting at 5pm. We also have a full calender of events, including a Pro Am every January in conjunction with Masterton Golf Club.
ABOUT US
Community Support
In a small town such as ours, it is important to support local business houses and community organisations. To that end Eketahuna Golf Club undertakes two fund raising competitions each year; one in support of our local primary school and the other in support of the Masterton Intermediate School.
